SAFETY RULES FOR OPERATION ORPHANS GUIDES

Sidelights:

The Operation Orphans Deer Hunt has multi-purposes:

• Get the youngster in the field for an outing
• Teach the youngster gun safety
• Teach the youngster hunting, tracking, and outdoor skills
• Adult companionship for the youngster
• Provide a chance for the youngster to harvest a deer

You will notice that the harvesting of the deer is listed last. This is for a purpose. The harvesting of a deer is "frosting on the cake" for the other four.

Be sure to fill out a certification card for each child who harvests a deer.

Please encourage each child to write a thank you letter to the rancher on whose land you hunt.

Please report any property damage immediately to the ranch owner. Happy Hunting! Thank You!!!
